About AP

Ashar Prodeep (AP) is Bangladesh’s first women-led organization of women living with HIV (PLHIV). Founded in 2008, we work to end stigma and discrimination while advancing the rights, health, and economic security of women living with HIV and their children.

Grounded in lived experience and guided by feminist, rights-based principles, we strengthen women’s leadership and ensure access to essential services—so no woman or child is left behind because of HIV.

Our Focus Areas

Gender-Based Violence (GBV)

Prevention, psychosocial support, and referrals to protect women’s safety and rights.

SRHR & Treatment Literacy

Economic Empowerment

Ending Stigma & Discrimination

Why Chooses Us

Ashar Prodeep is a feminist, women-led movement born from lived experience. We are organized by and for women living with HIV who refuse silence, stigma, and exclusion. Since 2008, we have been standing together to protect our rights, our bodies, and our futures—and those of our children.

We work where discrimination is most deeply felt: inside families, communities, health systems, and workplaces. Through collective care and action, we confront gender-based violence, SRHR violations, economic insecurity, and HIV-related stigma—not as isolated issues, but as connected injustices.

Our strength lies in solidarity. Peer support, shared leadership, and community accountability shape everything we do. We believe that economic independence is power, health is a right, and women’s voices must lead change.

Ashar Prodeep partners with feminist funds, rights-based donors, and allies who trust community leadership and long-term transformation. When women living with HIV lead, change is not only possible—it is sustainable.
